Teeth Whitening

Teeth inevitably darken over time and whitening is one of the most requested services offered by our practice. Changes in tooth color are caused by certain foods or beverages like coffee, tea, wine and soda. Other factors causing discoloration include childhood medications or illnesses, tobacco use or improper oral hygiene. Restoring your white smile is a priority for our dental whitening team and we provide a variety of options for whitening your smile.

The reality is that over-the-counter “too good to be true” solutions typically only work for about 1/3 of patients.

We are trained professionals using industry-approved methods. Our goal is to meet the needs of every patient, and every patient’s needs are different. The most common method used by our patients is a take-home carbamide peroxide gel-activated solution. It will whiten your entire smile and is GUARANTEED to work.

Another method, KoR Whitening, is used exclusively for extremely dark teeth, or the rare case that is resistant to the "take-home" process.

Nothing improves your appearance more than a bright, white smile, so call us today for a no-charge whitening evaluation!

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are custom, thin, semi-translucent “shells” bonded to the front of your teeth. Veneers are a great alternative to improve the appearance of your smile and are significantly more conservative than crown restorations.

Common problems that veneers are used to correct:

  • Spaces between the teeth
  • Broken or chipped teeth
  • Permanently stained or discolored teeth
  • Crooked or misshapen teeth

Porcelain veneers are a great aesthetic solution that might even help you avoid orthodontic treatment. Significant changes to your smile can be achieved with veneers, and in most cases veneer application is completed in only two office visits.

Please contact our office if you have any further questions about porcelain veneers, or schedule a "no-charge" consultation to see if veneers are the right answer for your cosmetic concerns!

LUMINEER® Porcelain Veneers

LUMINEERS can make everyone’s smile more beautiful! They are a painless, custom-made cosmetic solution for stained, chipped, discolored or misaligned teeth. LUMINEERS are porcelain veneers that can be made as thin as a contact lens, and in most cases do not require removal of painful tooth structure (unlike traditional veneers). Typically, no anesthesia is needed for LUMINEERS!

Many patients with minor orthodontic problems can correct their smile with LUMINEERS. They are clinically proven to last up to 20 years, and even include a 5-year warranty!

LUMINEERS are almost as natural as your real teeth. You can continue eating and drinking almost everything you did before the procedure. We advise that you continue visiting your dentist regularly for professional cleanings and exams, and also continue a good home oral hygiene regimen.

Because each patient’s case is different,  the number of restorations required and resultant fees will vary. Your doctor will determine the cost for your treatment plan after a thorough examination.

Composite Bonding

Composite bonding is used to improve the appearance of your teeth and enhance your smile. As the name indicates, composite filling material is bonded to an existing tooth. Unlike conventional porcelain veneers or crowns, composite bonding removes little or sometimes none of the original tooth structure. It is a great solution for:

  • Repairing chipped or cracked teeth
  • Reducing unsightly spaces between teeth
  • Hiding discolored areas on a tooth surface

Composite bonding has many advantages:

  • It minimizes reduction of the tooth’s original structure.
  • Composite resins come in many different shades and provide "chameleon-like" shade matching to your natural tooth color.
  • Unlike porcelain, bonding can be repaired.
  • Bonding is significantly less expensive than porcelain crowns and porcelain veneers

Composite bonding is not quite as durable and long-lasting as porcelain veneers and may need to be retouched or replaced in the future. An upside, though, is that it can be repaired if chipped or broken, not possible with a porcelain restoration.

Unlike porcelain restorations, composite bonding can stain like natural tooth structure. Staining is accelerated by coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco and certain foods. To insure the longest possible life for your composite bonding, brush and floss daily and be sure to maintain regular professional cleanings and exams.

If you have questions about composite bonding call the office, or schedule a "no-charge" consultation appointment today!
